Last Tuesday of the month

For a lively jazz climate in our city, we not only need concerts by the very best jazz musicians, but there must also be opportunities to experiment and learn. Workshop Susanne Alt

On September 30th and October 28th, 2025, saxophonist Susanne Alt will provide a double workshop. Susanne is a lady who produces an infectious sound on her saxophone, shows cash grooves and soulful playing. A very talented saxophonist who graduated cum laude from the Universität der Künste Berlin, after having also successfully completed her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. 

Attentive jazz lovers will soon have to admit that Suzanne has a much broader spectrum than the obvious “horn in a trio”, although many participants in the workshops would immediately sign for that…... Because the wide range in her performances also includes performances with DJs in the night scenes of Amsterdam and accompanying orchestras on Belgian TV. It certainly promises to be a surprise which repertoire she will cover in the two workshops with you. It will certainly be exciting. Sign up. It is only twenty euros for two evenings.
 

When registering, we would like to know what instrument you play, what backline you may need and how much experience you have. You will be notified in advance if you can prepare something. It would be great if you join us!

Jam session

At 21:00 the workshop will turn into a jam session that is free for the public. The jam session will be led by session leader Eric de Zeeuw to ensure a smooth process and there will be a sound technician to make it sound nice. The music will range from jazz standards to excursions into funk and soul or wherever the vibe of the evening takes us. Musicians can participate for free, but registration is desirable. Then we can take your arrival into account. When you register you will hear which pieces of music we will use as a basis for this jam session. Backline

There is a sound system, microphones and a few DIs. A simple drum kit can be arranged, but you can also bring your own drum kit. If you have any questions about sound, backline or instruments you can email.
